WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Summary

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all fulfillment and receiving teams within Pick Your Plum’s Layton, Utah warehouse. Candidates need to demonstrate excellent leadership skills, people-management ability, motivational acumen and an ability to consistently achieve team goals. The Warehouse Manager will be tasked with ensuring the timely receipt, quality check, put-away, retrieval and packaging of customer orders on a daily basis, as well as organizing the storage of goods within the warehouse in a manner that results in optimal pick-and-pack efficiency. Additionally, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our warehouse complies with relevant safety guidelines and is maintained in a clean, efficient and professional manner. Candidates must be comfortable managing teams of 10-30 people, ensuring productivity targets are hit by individual employees, and overseeing the training and progress of fulfillment teams.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within fulfillment and receiving teams and ensure set productivity targets are met
  • Train employees and monitor performance and progress
  • Oversee receipt of product and put-away within the warehouse
  • Lead daily fulfillment of customer orders and manage separate shifts to ensure fulfillment keeps pace with customer orders
  • Manage warehouse space efficiency and cleanliness
  • Deliver and fulfill operations objectives of management
  • Daily briefing and training of team leads to align key tasks and objectives
  • Proactive problem solving with constant attention to process improvement
  • Provide first-level trouble-shooting of warehouse management & fulfillment software
  • Ensure health, safety and security of warehouse & fulfillment teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse management with a proven track record
  • Experience managing teams of 15+ people
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership skills and motivational ability

MERCHANDISE PLANNER

Summary

The Merchandise Planner will be responsible for creating, executing and communicating strategic merchandise plans. As a member of our creative team, this position will work closely with our buyers and photographers to present our products in a way that will delight our customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a creative force within the company to keep a sharp focus on what our customers want
  • Develop both long term and day to day approach to product and sales event planning
  • Effectively use inventory management tools in developing a merchandise planning model
  • Collaborate with other teams within the company to achieve sales and margin goals
  • Prepare and use qualitative reports to drive merchandise planning and decision making
  • Work closely with technology team to use and improve inventory, planning and reporting tools

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in merchandising or related position preferred
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Exceptional quantitative skills with extensive MS Excel experience (comfortable with pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.) required
  • Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Excellent business communication skills

PACKING ASSOCIATE

Pick Your Plum is currently interviewing for both full-time and part-time Packing Associate positions.  Full-time positions hours are from 8:00 to 4:00 Monday through Friday.  Part-time shifts are from 8:00 to 12:00 and 12:00 to 4:00 Monday through Friday. Benefits are available to full-time positions.

Summary

Pick Your Plum is seeking Packing Associates to work at their Layton, Utah warehouse (421 Marshall Way).  These positions report to the Fulfillment Lead, and pay is $10.00 an hour. Packing Associates work in a warehouse environment where their prime duty is to ensure items have been correctly picked for each customer invoice and pack those items in appropriate packaging for delivery to customers.

Packing Associates must be detail oriented as both quality and quantity of merchandise is of the utmost importance. Packing Associates will be required to select order packaging based upon merchandise size and quantity, and package merchandise in an efficient, concise and protected manner.  Candidates should have an excellent attendance record.

Packing Associate Responsibilities 

  • Filling and completing order receipts, and assembling orders in shipping containers
  • Confirming that product matches identity and quantity of product required by batch pick lists
  • Selecting appropriate box size for each order to ensure shipment is received by customer in a safe but cost-effective manner
  • Packaging product to be sent out for shipment
  • Correctly utilizing shipment software to ensure correct shipping methods are used
  • Match product details with customer orders at an efficient pace while maintaining accuracy

PICKING ASSOCIATE

Pick Your Plum is currently interviewing for both full-time and part-time Picking Associate positions.  Full-time positions hours are from 7:30 to 3:30 Monday through Friday.  Part-time shifts are from 7:30 to 11:30 and 11:30 to 3:30 Monday through Friday. Benefits are available to full-time positions.

Summary

Pick Your Plum is seeking Picking Associates to work at their Layton, Utah warehouse (421 Marshall Way).  These positions report to the Fulfillment Lead, and pay is $10.00 an hour. Picking Associates work in a warehouse environment where their prime duty is to pick items for product orders and deliver them to the delivery platform for the benefit of customers. They are expected to pick customer orders for shipment keeping in mind the quantity and type that is specified.

Picking Associates must be detail oriented as both quality and quantity of “picked” merchandise is of the utmost importance. A Picking Associate will be required to push large carts with product bins and work on their feet for a full shift.  Picking Associates will routinely be required to lift boxes up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.  Candidates should have an excellent attendance record.

Picking Associate Responsibilities 

  • Locating and picking inventory for customer orders
  • Confirming that product matches identity and quantity of product required by batch pick lists
  • Bundling product to be sent out for shipment
  • Correctly utilizing hand-held devices to locate and pick product for customer orders
  • Match product details with customer orders at an efficient pace while maintaining accuracy
  • Bending, pulling, lifting and standing throughout the duration of scheduled shift and lifting boxes typically weighing up to 25 pounds

RECEIVING ASSOCIATE

Pick Your Plum is currently interviewing for both full-time and part-time Receiving Associate positions.  Full-time positions hours are from 8:00 to 4:00 Monday through Friday.  Part-time shifts are from 8:00 to 12:00 and 12:00 to 4:00 Monday through Friday. Benefits are available to full-time positions.

Summary

Pick Your Plum is seeking Receiving Associates to work at their Layton, Utah warehouse (421 Marshall Way).  These positions report to the Receiving Team Lead, and pay is $10.00 an hour. Receiving associates work in a warehouse environment where their prime duty is to receive bulk shipments of merchandise, correctly sort and perform quality/quantity checks on the merchandise, enter the merchandise into inventory management software and put away received merchandise in the warehouse.  Receiving associates will also assist with inventory cycle counts and other inventory management duties. 

Receiving associates must be detail oriented as both quality and quantity of merchandise is of the utmost importance. Receiving associates must be able to bend, pull, lift, and stand throughout the duration of scheduled shift.  Receiving associates must also be able to lift 50 pounds and up to occasionally 75 pounds.  Candidates should have an excellent attendance record.

Receiving Associate Responsibilities 

  • Unloading shipping containers and other domestic bulk orders of product
  • Sorting, organizing and palletizing cartons of product
  • Working with inventory management software to input product attributes
  • Performing quality and quantity inspections on newly-received product
  • Performing cycle counts of inventory and performing other inventory management tasks
  • Bending, pulling, lifting and standing throughout the duration of scheduled shift and lifting/palletizing boxes weighing up to 75 pounds

SORTING ASSOCIATE

Pick Your Plum is currently interviewing for both full-time and part-time Sorting Associate positions.  Full-time positions hours are from 8:00 to 4:00 Monday through Friday.  Part-time shifts are from 8:00 to 12:00 and 12:00 to 4:00 Monday through Friday. Pick Your Plum is seeking Sorting Associates to work at their Layton, Utah warehouse (421 Marshall Way).  These positions report to the Fulfillment Lead, and pay is $10.00 an hour. Sorting Associates work in a warehouse environment where their prime duty is to sort bulk items that have been picked from warehouse storage into individual customer orders.

Sorting Associates must be detail oriented as the accuracy of items sorted into individual customer orders is of the utmost importance. Sorting Associates will be required to work consistently throughout the day in an efficient manner and the majority of the work will be standing and moving at a constant pace.  Candidates should have an excellent attendance record.

Sorting Associate Responsibilities 

  • Sorting bulk product bins into individual customer orders based on wave pick lists and order batches.
  • Match product details with customer orders at an efficient pace while maintaining accuracy
  • Bending, pulling, lifting and standing throughout the duration of scheduled shift and lifting order bins weighing generally up to 20 pounds
